Though the Congress & BJP are the largest political parties of country but the courage of fielding largest number of candidates and fastest rising is BSP. In the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, BSP ha fielded its candidate in more than 500 constituencies and with its policy of fielding candidates where ever is possible, the BSP has become third largest party in the country. Election after election it has increased its percentage of votes. In the last elections the Congress had fielded its candidates in 440 constituencies while BJP had contested on 443 seats. The BSP had contested on all UP seats and even fielded its candidate in Andman & Nicobar also. The policy is to field candidates to increase the presence among voters. It was the basic concept of the founder of BSP, late Kanshiram and the party is still following it. Election after election BSP succeeded in enlarging its voteing base. If the details of election results are anlysed, it is clearly evident that the policy is paying the BSP rich dividents. BSP really gained in the last elections. It grabbed 15.75 % votes in Haryana, 15.24 % in Uttarakhand, 5.75 % in Punjab and 5.34 % in Delhi. Apart of UP, where ever BSP finds a little support it always contest independently and the policy behind is to get its supporters united. Muslims have to vote tactically and in this scenario the BSP is best bet as Muslims have some reservations about SP for the time being.
