** Receptionist/Administrator - Cambridge - £15,000 ** New vacancy, just in. Fantastic organisation in Cambridge, on the lookout for a RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR to join the team. Reporting to the Reception Manager, your role will be to: • Actively engage with your clients, exceeding their expectations and ensuring all aspects of the customer journey are effectively delivered. • Represent the Centre as the first point of contact, either on the telephone or in person, in a presentable, efficient, courteous manner and provide a high standard of customer service to guests from registration to departure. • Ensure that guests are checked in and out using the correct procedures • Ensure that bedroom reservations are taken in the appropriate manner, using the correct procedures. • Liaise with the relevant department about updates, in a timely fashion, to ensure that guests needs are met or exceeded. • Deal with complaints effectively and with diplomacy. • Deal appropriately with all incoming calls through the main switchboard. • Deal appropriately with all guests coming to reception and arrange whatever help they may request during their stay. • Take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of guests, property, the building and cash. • Ensure that all postings, revenue and income is balanced daily and the float is checked on each shift and change is ordered when necessary. • Ensure that all-incoming and outgoing mail is dealt with appropriately. • Ensure that all signage and menus are printed at the correct time. • Ensure that maintenance requests are reported to the relevant departments. • Ensure communication and shift handovers are such that reception can operate effectively after your shift is complete. The ideal candidate will be well presented, professional and will have excellent communication skills. You will be dealing with a diverse range of people and must have the interpersonal skills to provide the best level of customer service possible. You will be working to shift patterns of Early (7am to 2.30pm) and Late (2.30pm to 10pm). Salary on offer is £15,000 which is reviewed after 6 months.
