“Reflection” It does not matter how beautiful our surroundings are, nor does it matter what vibrant, designer outfits are hanging meticulously in our cupboards. No landscape or external wardrobe could ever shine above the beautiful, spiritual creatures that we all are. We need not submerge ourselves into the material world of the “must haves” in order to fit into society’s status quo, for we are divinely unique. Keeping up with the Kardashian’s or in my day, the Jones only fuels the thought, which eventually forms the belief that we are somehow less than our fellows. The only culprit at work here is an unbalanced ego; for ego insists that we must prove ourselves better than, pettier than, more successful than our spiritual siblings. We did not come forth into this universe, to hold ourselves in comparison to anyone. Attempting to compare our insides to the outside of others will always leave us with a sense of lack. These thoughts separate us from one another and alienate us from our spiritual counter-part. Looking at the broader perspective, we can see how connected we truly are to one another. Most often what we like or don’t like in others, is our own mirrored image of self. Perhaps, the most poignant moment in one’s life is the awakening of our God-consciousness, followed by a clear and precise understanding that we are all extensions of God/Source Energy. We are never separated; we are always connected to one another. Downstream Thought: Today I will deflate ego’s boisterous personality by embracing and honoring all of my spiritual siblings. I will celebrate the diversity of each person for; I recognize the profound effect it has on the universal tapestry.
