† Remembering - JAN 24: ***1965 – Winston Churchill, English colonel and politician, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Nobel Prize laureate (b. 1874) Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, KG, OM, CH, TD, DL, FRS, RA (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) was a British politician who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. Widely regarded as one of the greatest wartime leaders of the 20th century, Churchill was also an officer in the British Army, a historian, a writer (as Winston S. Churchill), and an artist. On 15 January 1965, Churchill suffered a severe stroke that left him gravely ill. He died at his London home nine days later, at age 90, on the morning of Sunday 24 January 1965, 70 years to the day after his fathers death. Even in his paralyzed state, Fine did what he could to entertain the other patients, completed his as told to autobiography Stroke of Luck, and was visited regularly by his old partner Moe Howard. Fine suffered several additional strokes and died on January 24, 1975 at age 72. His brothers are actor Sean Penn and musician Michael Penn. Chris Penn was found dead in his condominium on January 24, 2006, at the age of 40. An autopsy revealed the primary cause for his death was nonspecific cardiomyopathy, a heart disease. In addition to guest starring in over 60 television series, he was best known for his roles as Ben Cartwrights eldest son Adam Cartwright on the Western TV series Bonanza (1959–1965), and as chief surgeon Dr. John McIntyre, the title character on Trapper John, M.D. (1979–1986). Roberts died from pancreatic cancer on January 24, 2010. His show began in 1950 on WJZ-TV (later WABC-TV) and moved to WOR-TV (later WWOR-TV) from 1962 to 1993. Franklin died of prostate cancer on January 24, 2015 at the age of 88. O:)
