“Right to Farm” is a proposed amendment (Constitutional Amendment No. 1) to the Missouri Constitution that will appear on the August 5th, 2014 primary election ballot. This amendment will appear as follows: “Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to ensure that the right of Missouri citizens to engage in agricultural production and ranching practices shall not be infringed?” Join in voting NO on Amendment 1. 1. The Missouri Constitution should not be altered in a way that is both unnecessary and harmful to Missouri family farmers. 2. Amendment 1 provides no additional protections to independent family farmers, and instead, protects corporate factory farms at the expense of family farms and rural communities. 3. Missouri farmers already have the right to farm. Amendment 1 is an unnecessary corporate takeover of our state constitution that forever guarantees the rights of corporations to write their own rules and bypass democracy and local control. Vote NO!!!!! No to big corporations who would come into MO and poison our waters and our earth. NO!!
