#RooseveltsPBS continues tonight. Eleanor Roosevelt, like her uncle Theodore Roosevelt, was born in Manhattan. Following her marriage to Franklin Roosevelt in 1905, they shared a double-townhouse at 49 East 65th Street (now Roosevelt House, part of Hunter College). In her later years, she lived with her Scottish terrier, Fala, at 29 Washington Square West (1942-49), then 211 East 62nd Street (1953-58) and, finally, 55 East 74th Street (1958-62).
