#Rural #Mania, reporting from #Jawhar...weekend of 29/30 Nov... We had absolutely great weather this week-end.... a bit nippy in the morning and late evening....the kind of weather that makes you want to have endless cups of tea sitting on the deck or under the jamun tree. Our visitors this time decided to go Kayaking and try the Flying Fox across the ridge, at the #Dabosa Waterfalls. The saner ones (:)) walked down the slope and sat ruminating over lifes mysteries, with their feet in icy cold water. At the village, we distributed some more solar lamps and also gifted Pratibha Bhoye a brand new Singer sewing machine. Pratibha is trained in sewing and is confident of taking on work immediately. That will give her the much needed financial independence. We also picked up our first batch of 200 rice-papads..... 2 more women are on their way to seeking economic independence through this route. An hour of football with the kids and some jigsaw puzzles later, we headed back home -having had an amazing week-end once again. PS: Once again, a silent thank you to all our donors/well wishers who contributed towards the Solar Lamps and Sewing Machine.
