Rush Limbaugh calls Harry Reid a despicable, grotesque little man U.S. Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) addresses a press conference following a 54-45 vote against a House bill that would include the wealthiest Americans in an extension of the Bush-era tax rates on July 25, 2012 in Washington, DC. During his radio show today, Rush Limbaugh discussed the recent personal attacks on GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), and called the Nevada senator, “a despicable, grotesque little man.” Most recently Reid made a claim that someone who worked with Romney at Bain Capital told him that Romney hadnt paid any taxes on his income for ten years while working there. Harry Reid did not disclose his alleged source at Bain Capital nor whether he actually has copies of Romneys tax returns from those years. Additionally, there has been speculation that an alleged hacker obtained the tax returns and supplied them to Reid. Limbaugh noted that Reid has never released his tax returns while serving in the Congress and the Senate in Washington, DC. Limbaugh wondered aloud on his program today on the radio if Harry Reid himself might be a felon if he received illegally obtained data from Mitt Romneys tax returns and violated confidentiality in claiming that he knows Romney didnt pay taxes for ten years if that is true. Reid has been very harsh in his comments about Mitt Romney, recently saying about the GOP nominee for president, “his poor father must be embarrassed by his son,” in reference to Romneys father, former Michigan Governor George Romney. Reid and other Democrats have been pressuring Romney to release more years of his tax returns. Supporters of Romney believe the Democrats used information from the tax returns Romney has released to impugn and malign his business record and financial affairs, and believe the only reason Democrats want to see more tax returns is to find more fodder for negative attacks against the GOP nominee.
