#SA #Weather #News #CTCorp A mixed bag for Adelaide After a sweltering start to the year, things have cooled off considerably in Adelaide. Its been a month of extremes for those living in Adelaide, with residents needing to keep the umbrella, the boardies as well as a jumper handy this month. The year started off with scorching temperatures as the mercury crept into the 40s twice. The second week has been a contrast, with a steady stream of showers, clocking up a respectable 38mm in the gauge over six rain days. The last few days have been cool with the rain and cloud causing daytime temperatures to linger in the low twenties, which is around six degrees below average. The cool summer weather will stick around for the remainder of this week. A high pressure ridge in the south will keep the skies mostly clear but it will draw moderate onshore winds, keeping a lid on the temperatures. Temperatures will move closer to average for the start of the working week as the winds change direction, with Tuesday shaping up to be the hottest day in this period when the mercury will swell to the mid-thirties. With mostly clear skies Adelaide will create a perfect summers day for the start of the Tour Down Under.
