***SCAM ALERT*** There is a scam out there that makes an attempt at looking legitimate but it is not in any way. The scammers will send you a letter with a form in it that contains directions on what you should do. They attempt to make you believe you are going to be working for them as a Secret Shopper Agent. The letter contains a check (in this case in the amount of $3,840.50). You are instructed to contact a phone number to be issued Reload Pack Numbers for prepaid credit cards and the like. Once your check is cashed you are to make six $500 reloads on six accounts or cards. Your payment for these duties is the $800 and change remaining. THE CHECK IS FAKE! YOU WILL BE HELD LIABLE FOR THE $ AMOUNT AND CAN BE CRIMINALLY CHARGED. DO NOT CASH THIS CHECK! The scammers walk away with laundered funds that YOU laundered for them. Beware. The check looks legitimate and has security features as you would see on any legit check. The account numbers and routing numbers ARE NOT REAL. The company in this case is identified as Aggressive Survey Inc. with an Irving, TX PO Box address. However, the name of the company may vary on other SCAM letters. If you receive a check like this and cash it, prosecution of the scammers is near impossible. You, however, are not immune from legal action if you fall prey to this scam.
