[SCHOOL OF BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE] Assalamualaikum dan Salam 1 Malaysia, It is to inform that the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, during his visit to Indonesia on 18 January 2013 has announced to undertake a new youth exchange program between Japan and ASEAN Member States, among other countries, as “JENESYS 2.0.” It aims towards the revitalization of the Japanese economy, increasing visitors to Japan, and at the same time, promoting global understanding on Japanese values. Approximately 30,000 youths from the Asian/Oceanian region will have an opportunity to participate in the programme. In this regards, JICE as one of the implementing organization of JENESYS2.0 (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) has extend an invitation to Malaysia to participate the programs are as follows: 1) Science and Technology 9th Batch –Agriculture/Livestock/Food Science/- Duration: 12th, May to 20th May, 2014 (Having strong interests in agriculture of Japan.) Biology, Health Sciences, TI 2)Science and Technology 10th Batch -BIMP(Agriculture)- Duration: 12th, May to 20th May, 2014 Having strong interests in agriculture of Japan Biology, Health Sciences, Pharmacy 3)Science and Technology 11th Batch –Science and Technology (Basic Science) Duration:19th, May to 27th May, 2014 Having strong interests in science and technology of Japan HBP, TI, EE, ME, Aerospace Eng, M&MRE. 4) Science and Technology 11th Batch (Environmental Technology) Duration:19th, May to 27th May, 2014 Having strong interests in science and technology related to environmental technology of Japan TI, HBP, Soc. Science, Chemistry, Health Sciences In addition, these programmes are fully funded programmes under JICE, Japan. Here by, I would like to invite students from your respected School to participate in one of the programmes mentioned above. We would encourage the nominated students have not engaged with any study abroad programmes organised by USM. USM International Office would give the opportunity for excellent students that obtained more than 3.0 CGPA for and above to be nominated (3 students for each RELATED category) before 29 MARCH 2014.
