**SCREECH IS BACK FOR ANOTHER ROUND** A volunteer writes: For those that remember the 1990s sitcom Saved by the Bell, you will recall that Screech was a lovable character, good natured, goofy, smart and loved by all his friends. Our Screech certainly shares some of those traits. He is good natured, sweet and lovable and a joy to spend time with. Screech joined us as a stray and is a bit too thin so we are feeding him an extra meal daily to help him gain some weight. Hes easy going, happy to make new friends, and shows his appreciation with some soft snuggling. Showing off lovely leash manners we walked to the park, Screech taking care of business on the way demonstrating his housetraining skills. He didnt mind being tethered for photos, sat when I asked him to, and as hungry as he clearly is, took his reward treats gently. Like the character Screech, his gentle good natured ways have already won him several friends among staff and volunteers. Hes so easy and gentle, unassuming and sweet, hes the go to guy for an easy walk and soft cuddle. Screech is looking for a home that will help him on the road to better nutrition. Like the character he is named after, he will be a loyal and dedicated friend forever. Ask to meet him today. Another volunteer writes: Screech is so keen to go out with me that as soon as I jiggle the latch he turns happy circles in his den and speaks in an eager puppy voice for which no translation is needed - Alllright! Lets go, lets go! Im not one to refuse such a handsome and enthusiastic suitor and in a flash were leashed and ready to get outside and have some fun. During Screechs behavior evaluation he did show some guarding issues but let me assure you, that doesnt stop this energetic youngster from being an incredible ballplayer and one heck of a fun date. I bounce the ball and he leaps through the air, I throw it across the pen and he sprints after it, and the best part is that every single time he returns to my side, accepts my patting and praises and then drops the ball and walks away so I can pick it up to throw again. Screech loves people and is very friendly and affectionate with me, even more so when he realizes I have a pocket full of treats! I dont have the same luck as my fellow volunteer and as I hold a biscuit over his head, instead of sitting, he turns in a circle trying to keep it in sight - too cute! Lets make tomorrow the first day of the rest of a long and happy life - apply to rescue Screech today!
