***SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE TOMORROW*** Good morning everyone. A wedge worked into the area late yesterday and will be the predominant force in our weather today, keeping us socked in with clouds and occasional showers/drizzle throughout the day. Highs will be stuck in the 60s/low-70s region-wide. Overnight tonight the wedge will gradually break down as a line of thunderstorms approaches from the west. There have been some fairly significant shifts in guidance today regarding timing, with the latest run of the NAM bringing in a line of showers/storms early Tuesday, and another round of potentially severe storms Tuesday afternoon. Much remains to be seen in how this system progresses, but the SPC has placed the entire area under a SLIGHT risk for severe storms tomorrow, with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes being the main threats. IF the inital line of showers/storms overnight tonight and early tomorrow moves through quickly enough or doesnt even make it to the area, this could allow some breaks in the clouds on Tuesday giving a higher risk of severe with the second line Tuesday afternoon. Either way, I am not anticipating an outbreak of severe weather at this time, but I will continue to closely monitor the latest guidance and radar/satellite trends to see what we may can expect tomorrow afternoon. For now just stay weather aware and be advised we may see a round of severe weather tomorrow. In addition to the severe threat, heavy rain is also a threat with some minor flooding possible in flood-prone areas. Widespread amounts of 1.5-3 (isolated higher) are currently being advertised through early Wednesday, however given the relatively short nature of the heaviest precip (and the recent dry spell) this should be a minor issue. Behind the front, expect conditions to rapidly improve Wednesday night with a lot more sun on Wednesday. Highs Wednesday will only be in the 60s region-wide with just an isolated chance of a shower during the afternoon. After that, expect 100% fall-like conditions for Thu-Sun, with highs in the upper-60s/low-70s Thursday, and returning to the 70s region wide through the weekend. Everyone have a great Monday and Ill keep you on top of any changes.~TW
