#SIN THOERY 10 I clarify this 1 John 1:9 again It’s written to the Gnostics, just like people that believe that nothing is bad, people that indulge in anything without Forgiveness or redemption Consciousness They don’t bliv in d REALITY of sin and hence live their lives to pls just themselves and sinful passions. Now, paul talked about something similar here, convincing man of the reality of sin and then necessity of FORGIVENESS which CHRIST brought and fulfilled! He first outlined sins in Rom 1: 28 Then he moves ahead with this (Rom 3:9 KJV) What then? are we better [than they]? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; (Rom 3:10 KJV) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Rom 3:11 KJV) There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (Rom 3:12 KJV) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Rom 3:17 KJV) And the way of peace have they not known: (Rom 3:18 KJV) There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Rom 3:19 KJV) Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. So, Paul finally brought ALL (both good and bad) under the same umbrella and REALITY of sin, judgment and death ALL THE WORLD IS GUILTY BEFORE GOD Now, verse 20 zeros all the practices of the law and the Ten Commandments to please God (Rom 3:20 KJV) Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin. So, a careful and dutiful keeping of the law will still land a man in hell Obedience to the law solves NOTHING (Rom 3:23 KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; So the sin of Adam brought about the Fall of man NO one is free no matter How Good u are BUt Vs 24 is the solution (Rom 3:24 KJV) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: See the word ‘FREELY” Now, we know this ‘Eternal redemption’ which we have received also means THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS (Eph 1:7 KJV) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (Eph 1:7 CEV) Christ sacrificed his lifes blood to set us free, which means that our sins are now forgiven. So, Redemption is the same as the forgiveness of sins Ok So, for how long is this Redemption? So that we can know how long the forgiveness of sins will last? Is it until the next sin we commit? Is it till wen God gets angry and gives up? Wen will this Forgiveness(Redemption) expire? (Always use scriptures to answer scriptures. Never use assumptions) See the answer here (Heb 9:11 KJV) But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; (Heb 9:12 KJV) Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION [for us]. Wao So if this REDEMPTION is ETERNAL, it also means that our FORGIVENESS is for how long? Say it ETERNAL! Wao, what a treasure! Meaning a man didn’t have to be collecting/withdrawing FORGIVENESS every day from God Just have it ONCE!, and it will LAST for ALL SINS FOREVER So, How do we receive this FORGIVENESS? The same Rom 3 has the answer (Rom 3:21 KJV) But now the righteousness of God WITHOUT THE LAW is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; (meaning u don’t get righteous by keeping the law) (Rom 3:22 KJV) Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that BELIEVE: for there is no difference: GLORY! Meaning the day u blivd the gospel, u ALSO received eternal forgiveness of ALL sins This scripture explains it better (Act 13:38 KJV) Be it known unto you therefore, men [and] brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: (Act 13:39 KJV) And by him all that BELIEVE are justified from ALL THINGS, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. It’s just to bliv the GOSPEL And a man then becomes free from both sins and its consequences FOREVER When u bliv in CHRIST, u also receive ETERNAL forgiveness of sins So a beliva is never called to start accounting for or confessing any sin again You are called to acknowledge and confess daily WAT CHRIST HAS DONE FOR U (asking God to forgive u any sin again is unbelief) Saying it like dis will help Thank God my sins are forgiven Thank God sins has no dominion over me Right now I am the righteousness of God in Christ Am eternally free from both the appetite and the penalty of sins GLORY! Brethren, ‘knowing this truth’only motivates us to Love and serve God more and not to commit sin The same way u won’t go and drink dirty water from the toilet bcos you know there is cure for cholera The same way, Christians don’t commit sin although we know God won’t punish us for it It’s all the function of LOVE NOT The fear of JUDGEMENT (Gal 2:20 KJV) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
