For her new film, “Halik Sa Hangin,” a horror-romance with Gerald Anderson and JC de Vera as her leading men, Julia says that her character Mia is somehow easy to relate to because they are of the same age. Whenever she gets into that character, Julia considers several thoughts. “Ano ‘yung pakiramdam na may mahal ka pero hindi niyo ma-pursue?,” she tells us. “May ganung factor na iniisip ko na what if ako ‘yung nasa posisyon niya… na nandun na ko sa moment na na-in love na ko pero bakit hindi puwede, may mga humahadlang? Lahat naman tayo may ganung feeling.” The young actress adds, “So iniisip ko, anong gagawin ko, anong mararamdaman ko ng mga panahong ‘yon? Anong pakiramdam na may darating sa’yong lalaki na magpapasaya sa’yo tapos biglang magkakaproblema?” Aside from these emotional preparations, Julia also underwent guitar and painting lessons for the movie, which is directed by Manny Palo. In the story conference for the movie last year, Direk Manny described the film as “a love story between the three of them pero at the same time meron talagang… external force that would prevent yung love story to fully bloom and blossom.”
