Monsieur Célestino! Are you awake? It was almost midnight in the deserted streets of Maras, 3 hours away from Cusco. And we were waking up a 90 years old man who never heard about us, to make a film. Celestino had never been recorded before. He is the last one playing this specific kind of harp inherited from some very ancient times. Have you ever heard something more beautiful than this voice and fingers floating? Have you ever seen instrument more impressive than this century old harp? Outside the village was completely silent. Inside Monsieur Célestino couldnt stop playing his old tunes. He asked us to come back the next day, he had more songs to play. ¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥ ¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥¥ WATCH the entire SONIDOS DEL PERÚ collection vimeo/album/3050162 LISTEN petitesplanetes.bandcamp/ a 33 films and albums collection made by Vincent Moon all around the country, researching on local music from Iquitos to Arequipa, from Pucallpa to Chiclayo, from Huancayo to Lima and more.
