**STORM UPDATE** Early next week storm- First thoughts. We are continuing to monitor a very powerful storm system poised to impact our region early next week. Currently it is still to early to get into any details... but it is looking more and more likely that this storm system is going to remain mostly, if not all rain for Lebanon county... however places just off to our North and West may be in for some accumulating snowfall. The latest trends in the computer guidance in todays suits agree that a very powerful storm system is coming... but can not come into agreement on exact track at this time. With that said, this will be a very tricky forecast that will require much attention as Lebanon County is currently a very close call on what type of precipitation falls. A jog in the track of this storm system, a stronger blocking to our North, and other factors will be key in deciding the outcome of what we can expect... and unfortunately this particular storm system is so complex that we may not know just what to expect until possibly just hours before the storm system impacts our region. We will try to put it into better understanding below in a few different scenarios and hopefully have better agreement by this time Sunday evening. Scenario #1 that we are currently leaning towards is a very heavy, wind whipped RAIN FALL for a solid 18-24 hour time period that may produce some local flash flooding concerns. Scenario #2 Mostly wind whipped rain with a change over to snow possible on the back end of the storm when cold air crashes into storm system. Light accumulations possible. Scenario #3 Storm track shifts slightly East than where we currently think it will and Lebanon County holds on to enough cold air that we remain a mostly, if not all heavy wet wind whipped snow fall that could put down ample amounts of snow. We will continue to monitor this storm system and hopefully start getting better agreement within the forecast models so we can narrow down the details/timing and amounts. Another update on this storm coming Sunday afternoon or evening. For now, enjoy the rest of your Saturday evening. ~Justin
