~~ STORMS SET FOR QLD AGAIN, DELIVERING MORE RAIN ~~ The Surface Trough is lingering in a similar position to that of today, so something similar to today should unfold. • Storms are LIKELY from Bundaberg to Mount Isa, sticking North of Longreach and Emerald. There is a threat that some of these Storms will become Severe, mainly around the Whitsundays and Central Coast • Storms are expected to move towards the S to SE around Mt Isa, and NE around the Central QLD Coast • Storms are LIKELY to include Heavy Rain, and along the Coast they could become Slow Moving resulting in a Flash Flooding threat. • The bulk of the Heavy Rain is expected to be between Rockhampton and Cairns, East of Richmond and Clermont • There is a minor Hail threat, although it isnt expected that they will become Large. This is mainly for the Central Coast around Mackay. • Falls in excess of 50mm are LIKELY, with widespread falls in excess of 25mm expected.
