@ STUDIO / 120914 / the THIRTEENTH of twenty-eight (28) BEY CAFE TABLES from my FeRRUM™ (ferrumfurniture) semi-custom furniture line for project of The Old Bakery Beer Company project opening in ALTON, IL, now ready for final fine hand sanding, followed by five coats of low-VOC, water-based, heavy-duty, satin topcoat finish. to make this top, i repurposed DOUGLAS FIR FLOORING BOARDS that were repurposed and milled from a 100-YEAR-OLD BEAM acquired from a commercial building in MISSOURI. i also used sustainably harvested, FSC-certified WESTERN CEDAR and ST. LOUIS-HARVESTED EASTERN CEDAR. this top also features a special DOVETAIL JOINERY at one corner of the BORDER where the EASTERN CEDAR meets WESTERN CEDAR. i welded the BASE out of RECYCLED, cold-rolled US STEEL. for play-by-play photos of this entire project in progress, click on the following link: on.fb.me/1rlD0G0
