************SUNDAY GROUP******************** Just to let everyone know about week 9, 8th March, the 5k, will be taking place at Arrow Valley country park. It will be the same time 1100am. The reason for this is that there is an official measured 5k course around the park. The course is all on paths and relativley flat. The course is used for parkrun. It would also be a nightmare trying to doit on the track as there is such a difference in peoples speed and ability. Parkrun is a free 5km timed run that happens every Saturday morning at 9am. It is world wide event which we are lucky to be part of. To take part and get a time in parkrun all you need to do is go onto the website (link will be posted) register, print off your barcode and then bring that barcode and yourself to the park for about 845am. You will be joinig around 270 other runners that take part every week. I can go details another time but its something to look forward to when you have finshed this course. All abilitys take part and the times vary from 16 minutes up to 50 minutes. Parking down there is more limited than at Abbey Stadium so youve got plenty of notice to car share. Dont worry about the 5k though its another 6 weeks away
