► SUPERVISOR - TRUCK SHOP Barrick (Niugini) Limited, the operator of the Porgera Mine, is part of the Barrick Gold Corporation group of companies which has interests in mines in Australia, the Porgera mine in Papua New Guinea and exploration interests throughout the region. Barrick seek to appoint an experienced Supervisor Trainer – Truck Shop to join the Porgera Team. Reporting directly to the Foreman - Maintenance the Supervisor Trainer – Truck Shop is responsible for: • Assisting the Workshop Foreman and Shift Supervisor with the general operation of the Mobile Maintenance Section; • Understand and comply with the departments key performance indicators; • Provide direction, on the job training and technical assistance for subordinates as required; • Ensure all work is carried out in a proper manner within government regulations and company policy; • Assist in the development and training of local and national employees. To be suitable for this role, you will possess the following: • Recognised trade certificate in Heavy Equipment Fitting; • Minimum five years’ experience in similar positions within mining and minerals processing with demonstrated supervisory experience; • Caterpillar experience on 789 B/C and 777 B/D Dump trucks; • Certificate IV Training and Assessment; • Current Drivers Licence. The position is FIFO on a 16/12 roster. This position offers a competitive salary package in line with qualifications and experience.
