# Samir Nasri Quits International Football -- Samir Nasri has announced his retirement from international football after concluding he stands little chance of a ×France recall as long as Didier Deschamps is manager. Nasi, 27, who won 41 caps, said playing for his country makes him unhappy and insists he has spent two years coming to this decision. The Manchester City midfielder, who was a controversial omission from Frances ×World Cup squad, was banned by the French Football Federation for three games for comments he made to a journalist after their Euro 2012 exit. And he told national newspapers: With the French national team, I dont feel like it anymore. I dont want to be there. I am not happy, I dont want to go there any more. My family suffered from this and I dont want them to suffer. I think its wiser to stop it and focus on my club career. Ive been thinking about it since the 2012 European Championship. This is just a confirmation of what Ive been feeling. The former Arsenal players girlfriend Anara Atanes branded Deschamps a s--- manager on Twitter after he was excluded from the ×France squad to travel to ×Brazil, prompting the manager to take legal action. And Nasri added: Lets face it, as long as he Deschamps is going to be the manager I dont think I have a shot after everything that happened. He said he didnt pick me for the ×World Cup because I wasnt happy on the bench, but I dont know one player who is happy on the bench, especially when you dont understand the reason Its not just about the manager.
