“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29 The future of a diligence man can never be stopped, your diligence determines where you stand. There is no throne too exalted for the diligent. Diligence does not just connote hard work but commitment to hard work, the spirit to work hard with all excitement. A diligent man is he who can work without supervision; he doesn’t relax until a solution is found to the task before him. Get excited with your duty, that’s what will promote you tomorrow. Let it be on record that you are doing a good job; your diligence leaves an impression on the mind of the people. You can judge diligence by what a man does secretly in his office and how he reacts to correction. Until you give your work what it takes you cannot receive what it contains. Diligence is a seed sown today against more years to come. Let a sign of diligence be visibly seen in you, show to people you are going somewhere through your diligence, your smartness, your look, your smile, your excitement at work. Don’t be slothful in your work (Rom 12:11). Always do what you are asked to do because you will not always be there. Work your way into greatness. Lord, bless me with such a heart to like what I am doing the more. Pray that prayer today.
