~ September 11th thirteen years later ~ *On a personal level the atrocity of this day shouldve been a national day of mourning throughout this country of ours. My basic feeling is the whole USA shouldve shut down completely all businesss ( including Wall street ) schools , stores etc. It shouldve been a day of remembrance & open dialogue reflecting all that has happened & where we as a people are. The people of this great nation of ours need to realize that theres that ever present reality of an enemy that not only is out there to annihilate us but also reside here in our homeland. What can we do as a people ( We the People ) do to protect our national interest but also insuring the future generations. We seem to have become a nation divided not only by race , class & economics , but also by greed & corruption. Yes , I held vigil & had my moment of silence this morning But to me there was that gut wrenching feeling that we as a people couldve done more to this tragedy that happened. Patrick ORegan
