...Severe Storms Possible This Afternoon and Evening... A cold front approaches from the Northern Plains today bringing chances for showers and thunderstorms to the area. Hazards: Large hail, damaging winds, and lightning. Whether or not the storms become severe will depend on how much heating occurs ahead of the front and when storms develop.
