Originally written by the 11th century scholar, Imam Ibrahim bin Hasan Al-Mulla, The Beginners Gift is a concise treatise covering the essential aspects of purification and prayer according to the Hanafi school of Islamic law. Students will learn this text at the hands of one of the profound authorities of the Hanafi school in Damascus, Syria. Teachers Bio: Dr. Shaykh Samir an Nass is one of the foremost religious scholars of his generation in Syria today. He is an expert in virtually all of the Islamic disciplines of learning, specializing in Quran, fiqh, hadith, and tasawwuf. He is one of the highest ranking scholars of tajwid in Damascus. In addition to this, he is a medical doctor with a private practice. He did his residency and fellowship in America and continues to practice medicine in Damascus.
