* Sikkim Police Bust Peddlers * HUSBAND & WIFE ARRESTED FOR PEDDLING CONTRABAND SUBSTANCES Jorethang Police on 22/07/2014 arrested one Sanjay Subba (30 yrs) and his wife Manika Pradhan @ Tara (32 yrs) of Gairigaon, Jorethang, South Sikkim for peddling contraband substances. The duo had been peddling contraband substances to the local youth from their residence at Gairigaon, Jorethang. 163 bottles of R-COF cough syrup, 20 files of Nitrosun-10 tablets, 348 capsules of Spasmo-proxivon capsules and cash Rs. 1580 were recovered from their possession. A case u/s 7/9/14 of SADA (Amendment), 2011 has been registered against the husband & wife and is under investigation. MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CONTRABAND SUBSTANCES One Benjamin Pradhan, aged 22 yrs, r/o Pedong, Kalimpong (WB), a/p Near Sichey Cooperative Stand, Gangtok has been arrested by Sadar Police for possession of contraband substances. The beat patrol officers of vajra booth apprehended the accused from balwakhani area and was suspected to be in possession of contraband substances. 120 capsules of Spasmo-proxivon was recovered from his possession.
