“Skyfall” concludes summer film series FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 9, 2013) – “Skyfall,” the latest of the 50-year history of movies starring the fabled British spy character James Bond, concludes the Grand Theatre’s summer movie series at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23. Daniel Craig stars as agent 007 in his third outing in the role. The action-packed 2012 film portrays Bond’s efforts to protect his boss, M, played by Dame Judi Dench, and the MI6 apy agency. Javier Bardem plays bad guy Raoul Silva. The movie also stars Ralph Fiennes as M’s bureaucratic enemy. “Skyfall” was the 23rd in the James Bond series dating to “Dr No,” in 1962. “The production of “Skyfall” faced lengthy delays because of the financial difficulties of MGM Studios, and four years elapsed between its release and that of the previous Bond outing, “Quantum of Solace.” “Skyfall” is rated “PG-13” and has a running time of 2 hours, 23 minutes.
