…So here is the Trade Off! (trade-off a balance achieved between two desirable but incompatible features; a compromise) I had many different line of works in my life, long to list here. 15 years ago I have found my passion, photography. With this passion which I make my living and provide for my family comes the trade off. Time seems to fly by at an enormous speed at a blink of an eye at the press of the shutter button each time. When you love something time just flies away. With that many important things that you should be part or should have been there. Family events, anniversaries, kids growing up. Your partner missing you and me missing my partner are becoming harder to bare. I love what I do and I am grateful and extremely fortunate to do something that I am good at and to create memories for others. However I think about my memories and how ill the people so important to me remember me. If you are a busy photographer that travels like me, knows what I am talking about. We all struggle with this. So when I think back of my life, when I was working in an office, time was slow, sometimes at a stand still. Life as much as it was boring, stretched out more and I was always there for every event and for all that is important to me. So what is now? What is better? What is the perfect life? I think it has to be somewhere in between both, the boring job and the passionate one. To find this is the hardest! I have to slow down and have to involve those that are the closest to me, more in my speedy life. We always want what the other has and the grass is always greener on the other side or the weather warmer..etc etc. We have one life and we have to choose wisely and need to know when to draw the line and when to slow it down. Photography was meant for me it was in the books and I found it. I went with it and I know it had to be this way. I just have to learn how to manage the other great priorities, the people so very important to me. I hope soon I will know how…..very soon, because at this pace it is just a few blinks.
