( Something to think about ) Acts 2:5 Now there staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. Acts 2:14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven , raised his voice and addressed the crowd: Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you ; lisen carefully to what I say . Peter was speaking to Jews from all over the world that had come to Jerusalem to observe the Feast of Pentecost . Now if Yahshua had already done away with these feasts , this would have been a great time for Peter to explain to all these people that they no longer needed to waste their time and resources coming to Jerusalem for the feasts. But in his sermon Peter did not even allude to such changes to the Law. Acts 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptized , and about three thousand were added to their number that day. When these people were convicted by the Holy Spirit , there was no need for them to abandon their Jewish faith. They simply accepted Yahshua as the Massiah that had been foretold in the Jewish Scripures.
