Describe the place you live at the moment? I’m currently living a flat with my friends. It’s located in the city near a train station. Since my place is on the second level, it takes time for me to go up and down but I think of it as an exercise. It has three rooms. I use a small room by myself and my roommates occupy other rooms. The flat itself is quite old but it has been renovated. 2. What are the advantages of your living place? The biggest advantage of my flat is that it is very close to my work place, college and a train station. Since I don’t have to travel far to go to work or college, it’s very convenient and time saving. Also as the train station is 5 minutes away from my place by walk, I can easily travel without any problems. Another advantage is easy access to the shopping centre. The train station is connected to the shopping centre and this very helpful, as I don’t have to take a bus or other transportation to shop. 3. What do you do when you are at home? As my week is quite packed with college and work schedule, when I’m free, I tend to enjoy reading or go out for a jog at a park near my place. Sometimes I go out with my friends to watch a movie and have dinner with them. Also on end of free days, I would tidy up my room and the kitchen. 4. Is it good place to raise children? I do not think it is the best place to raise children but it is not the worst place too. I want to raise my children up in a house where there is a backyard. As I am living in a flat, there are strictly limited area and no backyard or frontyard. Even though there is couple of parks around the place, I want the area to be opened for them at any time and raise pets if they want. 5. Who usually visit your place? If they visit, what do they usually do? It would be my friends. They would come for a meal or to complete some assignments for our course. We usually meet up regularly, once a week. Each week one person would cook and serve for the rest of us. We recommend each other to introduce their countries’ traditional food. So last week, when it was my turn, I cooked ‘bulgogi’ which is beef marinated in soy sauce served with some vegetable. I chose that dish as I think that is the most popular dish among foreigners. 6. In your country, what kind of reasons would people visit other people’s house? People visit others’ place for two main reasons. If a family moves their place, they would invite their relatives and friends to show their new place and serve them a meal. People who visit the new place tend purchase a pack of tissues or detergents to celebrate their new start at a new place. This is called ‘jib-deul-ee’. Another reason is to have a meal, usually dinner, with their close friends or families. 7. Do you know how to use all electronic appliances in your house? Mostly yes. When I moved into the place where I am staying, the necessary electronic appliances like fridge, vacuum cleaner, microwave, washing machine and air conditioner were already placed inside. I only bought an iron, a hair dryer, a toaster and a juice maker. So the appliances in my place are all basic appliances that are used in daily bases. 8. Tell me about your house you live now? It is a flat located in Central. My roommates and I chose this place as it was newly renovated, has three rooms with two bathrooms and good security. We thought of security as the most important factor. So we searched for flats with strong security. Also cleanness was another important factor. Luckily, we were able to find clean flat with nicely coloured walls. 9. Explain the scenery over the window in your house? As I am living in the City, area around my flat is quite packed with buildings. So I am only able to see other flats or apartments over the windows in my place. However, if I get a broader choice for my place, I would like to live in a waterfront house where the water reflects the sunlight like a mirror. 10. Are you living in an apartment or a flat? Can you describe your house? I am currently living in a flat. My place is located on the second floor. The building itself is quite old, but my place has been newly renovated and the walls of three bedrooms are coloured in pastel colours. We have well facilitated kitchen, and the building has a high-leveled security. The place is filled with sunlight during the morning and early afternoon. 11. What can you see through your room’s window? I have to admit that there are no good scenery over my room’s window as I am living an urbanized area. Even though I see the front street of our flat, it is not too bad as it is not the main road and not packed with cars. 12. What kind of house or flat do you want to live in the future? If I have the chance, I would like to live in a two-story house with a big backyard. Maybe it is because of my background as it is quite hard to live in a house in Korea, I have always dreamed of living in a house. I wish the sceneries over the windows are good and the environment is not too busy or packed. *모든 저작권은 John Ielts에 있습니당~~
