Draupadi did the Vratha and was wearing in her hands “Dora” (“ದೋರ”) which contained 13 knots – yellow colour thread. Seeing “dOra” (“ದೋರ”) in her hands Arjuna, with Kalyavesha, told her ”I have tied your monkey (Hanuman) to my chariot’s flag. He is after all a monkey. Throw the dOra”. (“ದೋರ”). The remembrance of Hanuman itself, we get Buddhi, balam, Yashassu, Dhairya, which, Arjuna neglected him because of his Kalyavesha. It is because of this reason that the Pandavaas had to struggle a lot, they had to stay in the forest for 13 years by neglecting the 13 knotted dOra.
