***Starting today Progress Gym is back to full opening times until New Years Eve. Consider that if you have had time off or are new to the gym to start back in the appropriate gear. Dont submit to the temptation to throw the kitchen AND bathroom sink at it from the very start. If you have a large amount of work to do its best you start off in a low gear and build some momentum with regular but low intensity sessions. Once things are moving, good habits are in place and your confidence is growing you can go through the gears and increase the intensity and frequency. Everyone with a driving licence knows to start their car moving in 1st gear, right Stuart?! Make sure you apply this rule to yourself too. Start at the start and build from there. Build foundations. Dont commit to begin with 6sessions per week and 45minute of cardio every time- its just not necessary and will lead you to overtrain and fail FAST. Low volume, perfect technique, regular frequency- this is where to begin. Progress Gym is open tonight until 6pm***
