Stop Common Core in Alabama Alabama District School Board members speak out against CC. >>> In an interview with Al, Baldwin County school board member David Cox outlined some of the key concerns about the standards that he and four school board members from other districts recently sent to their legislators, urging them to repeal Common Core. “We are not asking that you prohibit teachers from using the portions they feel are appropriate; we are simply asking that you do not force them to use what they deem inappropriate,” the letter concludes. It is also signed by Marty Adams of the Limestone County school board; Annette Griswold and Shag LaPrade of the Coffee County school board; and Phil Murphy of the Calhoun County school board.
