**Storm Update...Snow Fall Graphics** The first graphic shows - TopicsExpress

**Storm Update...Snow Fall Graphics** The first graphic shows the forecast for Saturday Evening through Sunday Evening with the red contour indicating a 70% chance for at least 4 of snow. The second graphic has 10% chance for at least 8 of snow. While I agree with the 4+ percentage, I think the 8+ percentage (on this graphic) is too low. I would give it at least a 40% chance that the C & EUP and NW Lower Michigan will see 8+ of snow. One computer model I just looked at (intermediate model run at 445p.m.) has the storm a bit farther west across the Tip of the Mitt as compared to the Alpena region. This would mean the heaviest snow could be west of a Brimley to Brevort line. But right now, I am sticking with the track to be across NE Lower Michigan (Alpena area) which would still put all the EUP (and Soo Ontario) in the heavy snow area. Dont forget, MORE snow is in the picture Sunday evening into Monday with Lake Effect with bitter cold air moving in across Lake Superior. Another system is slated to move through Monday night and Tuesday giving us the potential for several more inches. -Meteorologist Jim Lehocky
