Story of a Obedient Wife I earlier mentioned you in the Biography about the beloved elder daughter Asma Binte Abu baker (R.A) She was a great , pious and obedient lady .Prophet (pbuh) titled her Dhatun Nitaqayn ( she of two belts) Asma binte Abu bakr (R.A) was married to Zubair ibn al- Awwam He was cousin to Prophet (pbuh) He was a very poor man , nevertheless Abu Bakr (R.A) knew him to be men of great piety . Being the daughter of the richest men of those times , she got to married to a man who doesnt had anything and living in poverty . One day Asma binte Abu Bakr (R.A) was carrying the date stones on her head , happened to meet Holy prophet (pbuh) Along with the group of companions . Holy prophet (pbuh) called me and told the camel to sit down. He (pbuh) cant see me ride behind carrying so much weight on my head . And said Sat down on the camel O daughter of Abu Bakr (R.A) Asma binte Abu bakr felt shy to go with men and remembered Az Zubair and his Ghirah ( the sense of pride which husband dislike his wives , daughters , sisters from being seen or heard by strangers ) The messenger of Allah (pbuh) understood my quietness & shyness And left . I came home and told Husband Az Zubair the whole incident . I remembered your Ghirah and felt shy to mount on the camel . Upon this Az Zubair said ; By Allah , the thought of you carrying date-stones upon your head is more severe a burden to me than you riding with Him (pbuh) I led this life of hardship till Abu Bakr (R.A) has sent me a female servant . Reported in Sahih Al Bukhari vol 7, pg 111, # 151 . Look at the sense of shyness and dignity of Asma . See how refraining to displeased her husband . And look at the Husband Az Zubair he had lot of Ghirah but he stepped it aside and said You should have sit on camel . Because the Inconvenience of his wife is much more to him then his ghirah. This is called the mutual Concern , Compassion , Respect a Husband and wife should have for each other .
