“Such statements are manifestations of not even panic, but agony, and the refusal to acknowledge the mistakes made in Ukraine,” the head of the Upper Chamber of the Russian Parliament, Valentina Matviyenko, was quoted as saying by the RIA Novosti news agency. She also called upon journalists not to take such words too seriously. She added that President Obama’s words were proof the US authorities still reject the idea the World is no longer uni-polar, that Russia now is a serious power integrated into the global economic system.
