~Super Dave~ ~My Super Friend You created a trend Of being as Super as you could Hoping that others would Follow your example Never knowing your true roll While Earthly bound You always felt down Alone and away From the times that you would play But I knew you in every way I first met you at a Phish show In Upstate New York, Oswego A Super Shirt adorned my new brother The one from another mother Just as Super as this amazing guy It has been so hard saying goodbye So I wont I refuse to let go You are a part of me And you will always be Just as you are to your whole community My friend You live on in all who knew you I tell you this is true Every time I see someone That I met through you The pain you escaped It reflects in all of us But its okay man We all love you so damn much That we will carry that for you So you shall suffer no more After all, you showed us generosity With every interaction of reciprocity Consistently keeping your love flowing Always showing Just how beautiful you are And always will be Too bad you didnt see What those of us who loved you saw A being of bright light Someone who preferred not to fight Usually keeping the peace Definitely in your community at least You are missed everyday And in every way I would personally love to thank you On many a sad times You were always there for me And even in your leaving I realize that this painful act Was another beautiful lesson That we all had to learn And you made me face my own suffering Because I never want to do what you did Transfer my pain to all who love me And I forgive you You taught me to forgive myself And that I am indeed Super You taught us all That we are all Super Everyone of us When we choose to be Be Super Friends to everyone everybody Super Duper Friends~
