= Supreme Court slams Salman Khan : Blackbuck poaching case= The Supreme Court on Wednesday came down heavily on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the blackbuck poaching case even as it reserved its order on the Rajasthan government’s appeal against suspending conviction of the actor. The Rajasthan High Court had suspended Salman Khan’s conviction in the case after the United Kingdom denied him visa on this ground. The apex court said the HC order was not on merit. “Should a politician’s conviction be also stayed since he would be disqualified as an MP/MLA & face hardship?” the court asked. “Life of a hero may depend on age and charm but Salman got all reliefs from government and courts. The HC order is exceptional,” it further remarked. Salman Khan was convicted for hunting and killing two Chinkara deer and a blackbuck during shooting of the movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in Rajasthan in 1998. He had been sentenced to five years in jail by a trial court for his involvement in the case and is currently out on bail. The actor had approached the High Court in 2007 seeking a stay on his conviction so that he could file a fresh application for a British visa. ============================================ Admins take : Criminal Salman Khan can fool audience by his PR Agency but cant fool the honourable Supreme Court.
