Distracted driving, texting while driving changes lives, both the life of the the victims and the lives of those who text or are otherwise distracted while driving. Commentary by Tom Kiefaber - One of our greatest living filmmakers, Werner Herzog, has an urgent, timely message to transmit to us all, using the most effective free medium available. Hes transmitting valuable data that our increasingly technical society is in desperate need of better understanding. Simply put, , the mesmerizing electronic devices were becoming increasingly bonded to, pull rank on our nervous systems & literally seize & eclipse our attention & focus. Driving a vehicle while texting is an horrific, illusional, hair-trigger, bear-trap that destroys lives in split seconds. Its not at all as it can seem, a matter of skill and/or daring, & to believe otherwise is delusional insanity. Were getting hooked into an extremely powerful & transformative technology, with potentially devastating impacts on our lives & others, & with horrific pitfalls that we dont yet comprehend. One of the many ways to we can honor Tom Palermos memory & to ensure his life & tragic passing make a real difference is to dedicate 35 minutes to fully absorbing From One Second To The Next & to be insistent & persuasive that whoever you love in this world, do so as well.
