#S’West Group Set for Mega-Rally for Jonathan# A political pressure group in South- West geo-political zone of the country, Goodluck Grassroots Volunteers, GGV, is set to organise a mega-rally to push for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. GGV made the disclosure in a press statement jointly signed by its National Coordinator and Director of Media and Communications, Comrades Otunla Adesola Moses and Y.S.O. Olaniyi, respectively and made available yesterday to journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. It said: “The National Executive Council, NEC, of the GGV has concluded plans to organise a mega rally for President Jonathan early next November in Ibadan, the political headquarters of South-West. The six states in the South-West will be fully mobilised. Civil society and professional groups, traders, students, youth groups, political parties, among others are all going to exercise their free wills to support the candidature of President Jonathan. The rally will be an event to remember. “The message the mega rally seeks to send across the country is that South- West is solidly behind President Jonathan for a second term, and that the youths are supportive of the Transformation Agenda in spite of the security challenges and distractions his government is facing. We have voted for him in the past and we even want to vote more in South-West. “We are pitching our tent with Mr President because he is clearly performing in terms of infrastructural development and social welfare. Since coming into office, Jonathan has made the common man feel his impact. “This is a President whose transformation agenda has improved the various segments of the nation’s existence, from education to agriculture, aviation, gender equality, electoral process, human rights, road construction, foreign policy, power and energy, healthy, water and water resources, youth empowerment and poverty reduction and sports, for total well being of the people.
