The brilliant vets are still flummoxed, Teddy is a bit of an enigma!!! Good news is that he has gained 0.6kg over the weekend and his itching is subsiding. The scan did not show up anything of concern (although there could still be something nasty brewing). The second testicle could not be located at all, the upside of that is that it is not a huge cancerous mass in his abdomen, the testicle may have been removed previously or may be tiny & still in his scrotum, there is also the rare chance that he was born with only one, so that in itself is good news. His blood count is slightly better and his anemia is slightly improved. Bloods have also been sent off for additional tests. Teddy has been given a further course of antibiotics, with the threat of an eight week course in all, to hopefully knock the skin irritation on the head. His diet must be kept simple, currently on Royal Canine Geman Shepherd Kibble and the vets have recommended that we add a can of Hills AD Convalescence food with it. Due for a review in a week to see how things are progressing, but as always with Teddy, you never know how he is going to be from one day to the next.
