***TAKES DEEP BREATH*** I dont say much about my dad (dont think I ever had on here on any social media) but I will say although we rarely talk I AM grateful of what he exposed me to. Because of the many rides as a kid in his big truck with the radio station and all of his tapes being jazz (107.5 the oasis) I fell in love with music even more. We werent allowed to listen to ANYTHING other than gospel growing up (unless we snuck and did it) but I DO recall enjoying the late summer nights with the windows down cruising, enjoying & humming the jazz tunes (like Dave Koz, Kirk Whalum, Wayman Tisdale, George Duke, Oscar Peterson, Miles Davis, etc.) with my dad. My dad was also an artist and his drawings were professional and PHENOMENAL! I remember watching him draw all the time in his studio room filled with paintings. It made me REALLY appreciate art. I miss that! His only girl of 4 kids...I guess Im still a daddys baby sugar wugar (Truth moment/whispers) I never got embarrassed when he called my nickname out loud in front of others and never wanted him to stop.... Missing my dad. Cant believe I just shared this but hey...I only share post like this from my heart when I feel that a child (old or young) needs to reach out to their father. NO MATTER THE PAST, HURT, MISUNDERSTANDING, CONFUSION, etc. Dont let it be too late. Its not his birthday, its not fathers days, hes not sick or dying or anything bad happening. I guess God has a way of healing situations like this in due time. It starts with me (YOU) Dont cry and whine about being the victim of being fatherless but rather be the resolution. Call. Spend time with each other. Forgive. Apologize. Let go! Start new beginnings. Life is too short. (Started typing with a smile...ended with tears. Thanks a lot God Lol. Smh!) Love you Michael O. Christle....
