#TBT - A sweet Throwback Thursday story to share from our friends at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Back in 2000, at age 60, CML patient LaDonna Lopossa was planning her own funeral. One day, her husband happened to read about an experimental leukemia treatment that was making headlines. They traveled to Portland to learn more about the drug being tested at OHSU and LaDonna got into the second phase of the clinical trial of STI571 – now known as Gleevec®.
