#TBT Throwback to my life as a CVS employee: We had this kind older man that used to come in at least 4 times a week. He had a gross beard, kinda smelled and bought Pall Mall Green 100s. He called himself the chupacabra which if you dont know what it is go look it up and have a laugh. He would always come in with his goofy smile and make dumb jokes about how he smelled like cabbage and had dirty feet and generally gave off positive vibes. He came in from time to time with pocket watches (see what I did there?) that he had restored and other train conductor type paraphernalia that was his general aesthetic. One day he stopped coming in. After a few weeks I called his other job and they told me he had to be taken home one day because he was very ill. I never saw him for the roughly 6 more months I worked there and highly suspect he died that night he was taken home. He looked much older than his age of 57 and smoked at least a pack a day of his Pall Malls. The worst part is I never knew his real name. Ill miss you Chupacabra, wherever you are hope youre still cracking dumb jokes!
