#TBT WHITESNAKE MEMORIES In Florida Aged 16 (I think) the night I saw my first Whitesnake show (whod have known what effect that show would have on me :p )…myself and my family arrived just as the bands bus pulled up to the venue and I literally ran after Tommy Aldridge (my favourite drummer ever) and asked for a photo. I could tell he isnt really into the photo and autograph thing but he was kind enough to stop for a quick snap. Quire literally a life changing gig experience for me obviously. I stood and waited almost 3 hours after the show (while being told by Security that theres no WAY David Coverdale will walk past there) while watching the band have a BBQ with fans on the other side of the car park….but I didnt want to miss the chance to meet DC…..and sure enough eventually he appeared out of nowhere, I got pushed aside by the security but my trusty mother got through the barricade of scary lookin Americans…. Mum: excuse me….could my son have a picture with you…. David Coverdale: Of COURSE my dear..where is he… Me:………………………….. Quite literally: Awesome. Thanks Mum!!! :p I havent had the pleasure of meeting Mr Coverdale again since then but I very much hope I get the opportunity to enjoy a good ole chin wag and glass of something nice with his good self at some point in the future.
