**TEACHERS** I know a lot of people in this world who provide food for their families by teaching our children the skills they need to grow and age safely and wisely. They act as our babysitters, friends of our kids, etc. They provide shoulders to cry on, guide sick children to bathrooms to vomit, console them when our children are picked on, etc. With all that being said, I wanted to bring something up. I read a post recently from a friend of mine, who happens to be a teacher. She was talking about someone posting something profane on Facebook and how it is not acceptable. I have also received 5 private messages from friends of mine who say they cant like the posts I make or even post some of the things they would like to because of the scrutiny they receive for being all of the things I stated previously. For a second, I think wow, how uptight. But that was just for a second. It made think of how unrealistic of a standard we, as a society, hold our teachers to.(ended a sent with a preposition). Teachers are people, people!! And some very good people at that. Let them have fun. Why can the person who plans to administer your medicine be allowed to drink a beer, have some fun, etc, but the person who we rely on the most in our childrena youth is not? Lets start cutting teachers a little more slack. Let em live. And by golly(ha), If we wanna hold them to same scrutiny as we do our federally elected officials, then lets pay them as such. Much love to all the teachers in the world. If I see any of you, a beer is on me. #PBR
