#TEDxSydney makes me prouder to be an Australian than any sporting success. Culturally, artistically, scientifically and ethnically so rich, diverse and ambitious. Generous and understanding of others. Taking the long view while achieving real results in the short-term too. Makes me proud. So its important to avoid watching the news for a few days afterward or it all gets mired in slush again. Do me a favour: if in the unlikely event any of our political leaders or their opponents announces anything innovative, visionary, clever which in any way could be described as leadership, will you let me know?
