*******THE DAILY NUGGETS---2013******* “CHRIST IN US, THE HOPE OF GLORRY!” It has been said that you can attract more bees with honey than you can with vinegar. Unfortunately, too many of us are like sour vinegar rather than sweet honey which results in others avoiding us because of our arrogant, selfish and judgmental attitudes. As believers, we must make sure others see the Christ in us and not be exposed to the old hateful ways that God delivered us from. How can we do this? By being more transparent and stop pretending that we have it all together. Let me say this; we don’t have to impress others or try to persuade them that we have arrived but let them know that we have the same challenges as they do on this journey. Think about it for a moment; if we indeed were perfect there would be no need for Jesus. However, because we are not perfect, but being made perfect every day, we must continue to allow our God to mold us into what He truly wants us to be as well as what He wants others to see which is; Christ in us, the hope of glory! We must never operate in denial or deceit but ask God to help us with our issues until we get it right. Too often we keep others away because we don’t want them to see the flaws in us and instead of being transparent we hide and disguise our weaknesses so that others think we have it all together. And because of this we push them away with our sour and bitter ways so they won’t discover who and what we are all about. Let us be reminded that the same Peter who denied Christ was the main speaker on the Day of Pentecost. Let us also be reminded that when Peter denied Christ not only was he rude to those who had asked him had he been with Christ, but he cussed them out. Anybody hearing me today? Let us also be reminded that Saul, who stood over the body of Stephen, bitterly pursued Christians yet was forgiven and restored to an even better place in Christ when he operated in love. Therefore, let us stop looking to push others away so that they won’t see our faults and start drawing them through love and kindness and being transparent so that they may know that we are no different than them. Most of all let us make sure that others see the Christ in us who is the hope of glory! Verse of the Day: (New King James Version)Colossians 1:27; To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory Let Us Pray: Lord; I thank You for giving me a mind to be transparent and honest…in Jesus Name, Amen...
