It was one Hon Awoleye that accused the Akalas of attacking his boys while pasting posters along Awosika Ave. And in a retaliation mood, the APC thugs pounced on some Labour Party men while pasting Akalas posters around Oluyole Estate. The men were forced in the booths of a car and crated to Ajimobis residence for further punishments before being transfered to a police station nearby. We are witnesses to billboards defacement by the OYSA and APCON. Few days ago, it was reported that the wife of the PDP governorship candidate for Oyo state was nearly killed for daring to video tape the defacement of her husbands Billboards by members of Burst Squad. If the tearing of posters and defacement of Billboards were limited to unauthorised public places that should be understood. But how about private homes? On Monday 19th at about 03am, my household were woken by sound of gun shuts. Mistaken the trigger happy men for armed robbers, I quickly wore a T-shirt the wrong way to ascertain exactly what was happening. To my surprise, I saw three branded SDP buses with photos of her Oyo state governorship candidates parked in front of my Constituency home. Men, some carrying starch cans, posters and ladder crossed the border fence into my compound. About 20meters to the buses was a Tundral Pickup Jeep. From the jeep gun shots were fired into the air to scare all the householders. At dawn, I discovered that my water storage tank, where I pasted Akalas posters had been defaced with Seyi Makindes posters by the SDP mid night marauders. Posters of Ladoja and Arole Gbenga Adewusi were also defaced along the road. But the law of karma nowadays move in jets. The SDP was beaten to her violence game yesterday by some APC thugs around Beere and Mapo areas of Ibadan.
